Want to become a superintendent or assistant superintendent?
There are different ways to start your new career. Here is a traditional career path taken by many superintendents who have joined the QGSA in recent years:
- Start out as a course worker at a golf club where the superintendent is a QGSA member.
- Ask your superintendent questions about his work and find out whether you’re really interested.
- Give yourself the tools you need to progress professionally by enrolling in various teaching institutions and continuing QGSA training courses.
- Apply for a QGSA bursary through the superintendent at your golf course.
- Join the QGSA and take advantage of professional development opportunities, access to trade journals and documentation available in the website section reserved for members.
